1. Loggas Beach
Situated on the northwestern coast of Corfu, Loggas Beach is the most unique spot to watch the sunset in Corfu.
I was there on a particularly cloudy day, and I wasn’t expecting to see much of the sunset.
Still, the view was incredible, with the muted purple and blue hues of the sunset casting a magical reflection on the turquoise sea.
While the sunset is stunning on a clear summer day, don’t skip this sunset viewpoint on a cloudy day.
The closest village is Peroulades, but it is just a short ride from Sidari or a fun day trip from Corfu Town.
There is a big parking lot right next to the beach, so you don’t have to worry about that.
- 🍹Amenities: Beach bar
- 🚗Parking: Free parking nearby

2. Cape Drastis
Cape Drastis is one of the most beautiful places in Corfu in general, and it is particularly stunning for sunset.
You don’t need to go down to the beach for sunset. The best sunset view is from the top, where you can see the unique landscape and sunset casting the reflection on the white cliffs.
Park your car on the dirt parking on the site of the road, and you’ll see several “holes” in the bushes along the road where you can climb and sit for a picnic with a view.
If you don’t have much time in Corfu, you can see the first two spots on the same day!

Porto Timoni is a stunning natural landmark and one of the top reasons to visit Corfu.
While it is a fantastic place to go for a swim, if you stay a bit longer you can also watch the sunset there!
While you could watch the sunset from the beach on the right side of the bay, I suggest you climb up for sunset so you don’t have to hike up in the dark.

Angelokastro is a Byzantine Castle perched on the top of the hill, about 10 km from Palaiokastritsa.
While Palaiokastritsa is nestled in the cove, the castle offers a stunning view from the top of the hill.
You’ll have to climb about 150 steps from the parking lot, but the view is worth it. The castle closes at 5:30 PM, so before sunset, but you can still access the viewpoint.
- 🍹Amenities: None
- 🚗Parking: Free parking

5. Canal d’Amour
Famous Canal d’Amour beach is another magical sunset spot to add to your itinerary.
There’s a local legend that couples who swim here will end up getting married, which adds a fun, romantic vibe.
Plus, it’s super convenient if you don’t have a car—it’s just a short walk from Sidari’s main walking street!
- 🍹Amenities: City center nearby
- 🚗Parking: Parking nearby
6. Pelekas (Kaiser’s Throne)
The small village of Pelekas hides one of the best sunset viewpoints about half an hour’s drive from Corfu town.
Kaiser’s Throne is one of the best viewpoints in Corfu. The viewing platform offers a 360° view of the whole island, and you can even see the Albanian mountains in the distance!

You can also take a bus from Corfu Town to Pelekas if you don’t rent a car in Corfu!

7. Corfu Town
If you’re worried about the cost of visiting Corfu, watching a sunset is a completely free activity, and there are many places to watch the sunset in Corfu town.
You’ll have to get out of the narrow streets of Corfu Old Town and head to the seaside.
The best sunset spot is along the Mouragia Promenade. You can grab a drink or dinner in a restaurant perched on the seafront, or sit on one of the benches above the Old Port.
Kanoni neighborhood, best known for the Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna and Airplane spotting spot, is also a great spot for sunset!

How about taking watching the sunset to another level and going for a sunset cruise in Corfu?

Driving in Corfu can be challenging, but this beach is easily accessible by car, and there’s plenty of free parking along the beach.

11. Arkoudilas Beach
The southernmost Corfu sunset spot on this list is the beautiful Arkoudilas Beach.
Steep cliffs surround this secluded sandy beach, and it reminds me of beaches in the Algarve you can explore on kayak tours from Albufeira or Lagos.
When I visited the beach in May, we were the only people there and there were no amenities on the beach. Also, it was too cloudy for a sunset, unfortunately.
However, summer is much livlier and there are sun beds and a beach bar on the beach.
This is the best sunset spot close to Kavos, but the road leading to it is in very bad condition.
I don’t recommend driving to the beach if you have a smaller car. Instead, park your car and walk about 2 km to the beach.
- 🍹Amenities: None (beach bar in high season)
- 🚗Parking: Free parking (but I recommend you leave the car and walk down)

Know Before You Go
To reach several of the sunset spots on this list you’ll have to walk on unilluminated dirt roads. Bring a lamp, or make sure your phone is charged so you don’t trip.
It gets colder once the sun sets in spring and autumn. It was especially windy on cliff viewpoints like Loggas Beach and Cape Drastis. Bring another layer to put on if you get cold easily.
Corfu is safe, but be careful when walking alone at night in remote areas.
Bring a flashlight if you’re coming back from places like Arkoudilas Beach where there is no public lights.
